Seawolf Advisory!

On Dec. 11, our Facilities and Campus Services team was made aware of a pothole that shut down the westbound lanes of Northern Lights Boulevard between UAA Drive and Career Center Drive. It has since been upgraded to a sinkhole, and the lanes will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time while crews repair the damage. We anticipate the closure will extend through the week.

麻将游戏赚钱Finals week is a very stressful time for students. Students, please know that your professors have been made aware of the situation. Please communicate with them any delays you may experience due to this issue. We know this is an unexpected traffic challenge. Please take a deep breath. We want you to have a smooth and safe finals week.

Fulfillment, Performance, Focusing circles

Mission Fulfillment

The self-study process leading to UAA’s reaffirmation of accreditation by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) launched in the fall of 2016. This open and inclusive process will critically reflect on how UAA fulfills its mission, ensures quality and achieves its goals. Open forums are discussing performance related to each of UAA’s five core themes and their objectives. In addition, faculty and staff are responding to the standards and the eligibility requirements, another part of the process. The site visit by NWCCU will be in fall 2018.

Mission Planning

UAA 2020 is a strategic planning process, informed by the findings of the accreditation self-study, which will replace the ‘UAA 2017 Strategic Plan’ and set short-term, appropriately ambitious and achievable goals for UAA. Informed by critical reflections on UAA’s planning processes from the accreditation self-study, UAA 2020 will re-conceptualize the process of planning at UAA, facilitating an integration of the many distributed plans that units have developed and are implementing. This planning will also provide focus and preparation for fiscal and structural changes that may occur as a result of processes that are underway within Alaska.

Mission Focusing

麻将游戏赚钱UA Strategic Pathways is being implemented to address the many challenges facing our University System. Fiscally-driven, Strategic Pathways will structure each of the system’s universities, UAA, UAF and UAS, to focus on their unique set of strengths, capabilities, advantages and opportunities.
